About
The Inaugural AllClear Symposium will bring together the AllClear team including patients and advocates, scientists, clinicians and operational members to tackle the urgent, unsolved problem of preventing breast cancer relapse. The symposium will be an opportunity to understand how each member contributes to AllClear and to discuss the progress of both clinical (Tuesday March 10th) and discovery science (Wednesday March 11th) towards preventing breast cancer relapse. On Tuesday, we will outline the limitations of our current clinical approach to relapse prevention, how we can utilise real world data and patient samples to determine patients who will relapse, and how we are developing new ideas for Phase I clinical trials and the establishment of the ACTIVA adaptive platform to test multiple therapies simultaneously. We will outline the plans for implementing inclusive approaches and develop roadmaps for increasing patient recruitment across underserved populations.
On Wednesday, we will discuss the cutting-edge research helping us to understand what allows dormant cells to survive, why the immune system fails to recognise dormant cancer cells, how the bone niche regulates cancer cell fate and how to model this in the laboratory, as well as using machine learning to build a relapse prediction engine. We will identify mechanisms, pathways and intervention strategies that will underpin the clinical intervention strategy and feed into Phase I trials and the ACTIVA platform, as well as generate a relapse prediction framework which will be linked with the ACTIVA platform outcomes.
The AllClear team will embrace the multidisciplinary nature of the team to establish AllClear as a world-leader in relapse prevention and make tangible progress towards breast cancer patient outcomes.
