It has been 50 years since we staggered out of the hallowed halls of St Ives High — full of hope, dodgy haircuts, questionable fashion choices, and absolutely no clue what on earth we were doing.

And yet, here we are, half a century later. Still standing. Well, mostly. A bit creakier, a touch slower, and now at the age where you can put your back out just reaching for a biscuit.

So, before any more knees give way or names escape us entirely, it’s time.

We’re gathering for the St Ives High School 50th Reunion — a chance to celebrate the friendships, the laughter, the mischief, the schoolyard disasters, the dodgy dance moves, the teachers we still remember fondly, and the ones we nearly sent into early retirement.

And along the way, we’ll raise a glass to those who aren’t with us anymore — the mates who should be there telling the best stories, correcting ours, or reminding us what actually happened. They’re still part of the story… just running a bit late, as usual.

It’ll be a night to reminisce, exaggerate shamelessly, and marvel at the fact that the kids who once roamed those corridors causing confusion and mayhem, have somehow made it to this point.

Come along, share a laugh, a memory, maybe a slightly revised version of events, and reconnect with the people who knew you when your future seemed endless and your school photo was doing you absolutely no favours.

Fifty years on, we may not be quite as quick, quite as slim, or quite as certain where we left the car keys — but we’re still here.

And that, frankly, is worth celebrating.
We’re holding the St Ives High School 50th Reunion to celebrate the friendships, the stories, the disasters, the dances, the teachers we still talk about, and the ones we probably traumatised.
