Strop 'StravaganzaWelcome to the wonderful world of very low hoop, where we'll explore the unique shapes, entries, pathways, and power offered by starting a spin from the top bar or rope/strop instead of the lower half of a traditionally rigged overhead hoop. Please wear layers that cover your full legs + midriff for optimal comfort.
Prerequisites: This is an intermediate/advanced workshop. Participants must have a strong current aerial hoop practice, the ability to invert easily and repeatedly without jumping off the ground, and a deep love of spinning!
Teacher Bio:
Jenny Tufts is an American-born, Ireland-based performing artist specialising in aerial dance. She's internationally celebrated for her innovative choreography on aerial hoop and spiral, but will try anything twice. Since moving to Ireland in 2020, she has performed for a medley of Irish companies including Fidget Feet, THISISPOPBABY, Fanzini Productions, and Tumble Circus, as well as internationally with Fool's Delight (UK), Disneyland Paris (FR), Mignon (DE), and Le Monastère (CA). She has an irrelevant degree in political science, and is a self-taught master dog cuddler. You can find her all over the internet under the name @circlecirque.
