TCG Chat - Livestock Ownership & eID Requirements
About
We’re excited to launch TCG Chats — a new quarterly sundowner event series bringing our community together to connect, learn and share. They are designed to be relaxed, welcoming and informative and are a great chance to:✔️ Meet TCG staff and find out about our projects
✔️ Hear practical information from local experts
✔️ Ask questions in an open, friendly setting
✔️ Share ideas and issues that matter
✔️ Enjoy great food and drinks
Our first TCG Chat will focus on an important topic for many landholders: the responsibilities of owning livestock, including current legal requirements and the need for electronic identification (eID) tags for all livestock.
Whether you run a few sheep and/or goats, manage cattle, or are considering livestock for the first time, this session will provide clear, practical information about:
• Legal responsibilities of livestock owners
• Registration and identification requirements
• eID tagging and what it means for you
• Biosecurity responsibilities
• Where to go for advice and support
You'll hear from knowledgeable local and professional presenters from DPIRD, have the opportunity to ask questions, and get clear, practical information and advice.
If you own livestock — or are thinking about it — this is a session not to miss. Come along, bring a neighbour, and be part of the conversation.
