A.C Grayling - Fighting Authoritarianism, Saving Democracy

Preeminent philosopher A. C. Grayling takes the stage to discuss one of the most urgent issues of our time: the decline of democracy.

Around the world, the foundations of democracy, freedom and civil liberties are being eroded. What can be done?

Far-right ideologies are being embraced in the open, billionaires and corporations are flagrantly interfering with elections and once liberal countries are sliding towards authoritarianism. All signs point to a profound loss of faith in our democratic ideals.

Speaking about his eye-opening new book For the People: Fighting Authoritarianism, Saving Democracy, beloved philosopher A. C. Grayling will unpack the forces that are undermining democracy worldwide – from gerrymandering and partisanship to corporate interference and tainted donations – and offers bold solutions to safeguarding ourselves against the rising tide of authoritarianism.

Book sales and author signings will be offered at this event.
