Homeschool Dance Classes@ Duncraig Christian Community Church
Term 1 starts Monday 9th Feb 2026. Classes run every Monday for 7 weeks until 30 March 2026. There will be no class on Labour Day public holiday.
Ages 5-12 @ 12:00-1.10PM
$86 per child, per term (7 week term)
~ Covers The Arts Dance Curriculum ~
Students will be presented at the end of term with a Certificate of Participation with curriculum and styles of dance covered. This can also be used for moderator meetings to demonstrate curriculum and style of dance that has been covered.
Each class will include a warm-up, strengthening exercises and the styles of dance they are learning for the week. Students will also spend time in class learning a lyrical piece that they will work on throughout the term and present to parents in Week 9. This is NOT compulsory, however an excellent opportunity to perform and this also covers the curriculum.
Every 2 week block students will learn a style of dance including
Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Lyrical.

Participation in the homeschool dance class is voluntary. Dance is a physical activity that involves movement, coordination, and exertion, and participation carries an inherent risk of injury.
While the dance teacher will take reasonable care to provide a safe and supportive learning environment, participation is at the student’s own risk. To the extent permitted by Australian law, the dance teacher is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or illness sustained by a student, or for loss or damage to personal property, arising from participation in the class.
Parents/guardians confirm that their child is physically and medically fit to participate in dance activities and agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or additional needs prior to participation. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure their child remains fit to participate throughout the term.
The dance teacher reserves the right to modify activities to ensure safety and to refuse or discontinue a student’s participation if their behaviour is unsafe or disruptive.
By enrolling their child in the class, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that the dance teacher will not be held responsible except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
