Burn Bright, Not Out: Sustainable Behaviour Support
About
Boundaries, Resilience, and Wellbeing for Behaviour Support PractitionersWorking as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner is meaningful — and demanding. Complex caseloads, high compliance expectations, emotional labour, and competing stakeholder needs can quickly erode boundaries and wellbeing if they are not actively managed.
This live, interactive workshop is designed to support BSPs to work sustainably, protect their professional boundaries, and strengthen resilience for the year ahead. Rather than focusing on “self-care” as an add-on, this session positions wellbeing as a core component of ethical, effective behaviour support practice.
Participants will be supported to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their values, while gaining practical tools to manage workload, expectations, and emotional demands more confidently.
What you’ll take away
• Greater clarity around boundaries, capacity, and priorities
• Practical strategies to reduce stress and emotional overload
• Increased confidence in managing expectations and requests
• A clearer sense of what you need to thrive — not just cope — in your role
This session is reflective, practical, and grounded in the realities of behaviour support practice. Participants are encouraged to engage at a level that feels comfortable for them.
