Novice Group (Ages 5–7)
Best for: Kids who are new to mountain biking and are still developing confidence on two wheels.
They might have only ridden around the park or footpaths and haven’t spent much time on trails yet.
What they’ll learn:
How to stand correctly on the bike (attack position)
Level pedals and balance
How to use their brakes safely
Basic bike control
How to ride confidently over small bumps and gentle trail features
Outcome for parents:
Your child becomes safer, more confident, and more coordinated on the bike, making trail riding feel fun instead of overwhelming.
Beginner Group (Ages 8–11)
Best for: Kids who already ride bikes regularly and may have tried mountain biking, but are still building skills and confidence on proper trails.
What they’ll learn:
Better braking control (not just “full brakes!”)
Where to look and how to steer smoothly
Cornering basics
Bike control and attack position
When to change gears and why it matters
Trail safety and etiquette
Outcome for parents:
Your child rides with noticeably more control and confidence, making family rides and school holiday trail sessions much more enjoyable.
Intermediate Group (Ages 12–16)
Best for: Riders with trail experience who want to improve their riding speed, technical skills, and overall confidence. Perfect for kids who love riding and want to level up.
What they’ll learn:
Bike setup basics (suspension, tire pressure, cockpit setup)
Advanced cornering and line choice
Technical climbing and descending
Efficient pedaling and body position at speed
Managing trail features and obstacles
Outcome for parents:
Your child becomes smoother, faster, and more capable on the bike, with a better understanding of how to set their bike up and how to ride more safely at higher speeds.
