May VCE Music Analysis Virtual Workshop with Jenny Gillan

This session will be online session via Google Meet. By lunchtime on the Friday before, participants will be sent a Google Meet link as well as a PDF of notes. Ticket prices are $80 standard and $60 Early bird (by Friday 1 May 2026). If you wish your school to be invoiced, please use the code INVOICMYSCHOOL at checkout and an invoice will be sent to you. If requesting an invoice, remember to allow time for payments to be processed if prior to the Early bird date.
Again this year we will be recording the workshop. This will be available to be watched and rewatched until the exam via a private YouTube link. Attending the workshop means you give permission to have your participation in the workshop recorded. This may include your screen name and comments being read out and, if you come off mute, your voice may be recorded, though faces don't tend to be recorded.
24 - 48 hours after the workshop your email address will be added to a private YouTube Channel and you will be sent a link to that chanel to access the recording. Registrants will need to supply either a gmail or the email that you usually use to login to Youtube.
Bookings will close at a 10.30am on Thursday 14 May to allow time for all registered to receive links and notes prior to the workshop. Remember to check the links and login early so that you don't miss any of the workshop. If it is after this time please contact us by phone on 0405 771 377 and we will try to get you in.
About the Presenter: Jenny Gillan has taught Music at all levels; from early childhood to primary, secondary, tertiary and teacher training. She is a passionate advocate of music literacy. She currently teaches at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School where she oversees the aural program and teaches listening analysis and Musicianship at the Junior level up to VCE. She conducts two choirs at St Michaels Grammar School and has presented at many conferences across Australia and internationally. Jenny studied at the Kodaly Institute in Hungary, obtained her Masters of Music Studies in Queensland and taught in the UK.
