Melbourne Bach Chamber Choir proudly presents Rachmaninov’s All Night Vigil, a work renowned for its surprising contrast and deeply moving effects. The performance is at 7:30pm on Friday 12th June, at St John’s Church Camberwell. Also known as the "Vespers", it is a favourite of audiences and choristers alike for its meditative atmosphere and deep bass notes.This concert also features selected Ukrainian Art Songs by Jul'ij Meitus, supporting the Ukraininan Art Song Project (https://ukrainianartsong.art).
With soloists Belinda Paterson, Michael Petrucelli and Aleksander Pokryshevsky, this uniquely curated program in Church Slavonic and Ukrainian promises unforgettable beauty, richness and transcendence.
