Join us in person for LIVING WELL RETREATS, where we dive into the foundations of pelvic pain and explore effective pathways to release. A day retreat at the beautiful Peninsula Hot Springs Mornington Peninsula for curious women who know there is more to the story when it comes to their health. This retreat combines the expertise of three of Melbourne's best allied health pelvic pain health carers: Freya Lawler (Integrative Naturopath), Dr Rebecca Geer (Acupuncturist and Naturopath), and Julia Cannatelli (Psychologist).It will be a stunning day of education mixed with treatment, nourishment and community...in a spectacular location. A very special day out!
This retreat has been designed for bodies that have been holding pain for too long. Through targeted acupuncture, pelvic focused therapies, gut & nutrition fundamentals, and nervous system regulation, we will create the conditions for your body to soften, release and feel safe again. Come connect, learn, and start living well again!
What will I learn on the day?

10.15am Practitioner Education Sessions:
SESSION 1 – Functional Naturopathy
A deep dive into how functional naturopathy can help correct underlying health challenges associated with pelvic pain.
SESSION 2 – Traditional Chinese Medicine
Looking at pelvic pain through the Traditional Chinese Medicine Lens, exploring the key TCM patterns and how to best support health at home using some basic TCM strategies.
11.15am. Nutrition Demonstration:
A few simple recipes and practical tools to keep you on track
12.00pm. LUNCH: Enjoy a nutritionally charged lunch designed by Freya
1.15pm SESSION 3 - Psychology Session
Julia will share psychological tools to help you regulate stress, understand the mind-body connection, and reclaim a sense of control and self-compassion.
1.45pm ACTIVITY – Meditation/ Qi Gong & gentle group acupuncture session
3.00pm Wellness Activity – Tea Making or Clay Workshop*:
Discover the healing powers of raw earth and water
3.45pm Closing Circle
4pm Bathing (if desired).
Bathe well into the night if you wish. There are cold plunges, hammams, bathing pods, hammocks, relaxation domes, bring a magazine or a book and just relax.

FAQ's:
Is this retreat right for me?
This retreat is dedicated to people, carers or loved ones of those who experience pelvic pain. Anyone who is curious about learning more about their pelvic pain from a holistic perspective. For those wanting to build community and connect with people who experience pelvic pain.
We welcome those navigating period pain, endometriosis, adenomyosis, vulvodynia vaginismus, and painful bladder syndrome.
Do I need a diagnosis of Endometriosis to attend?
No, this is a pelvic pain retreat. It will be ideal for anyone experiencing pelvic pain or have recently had a diagnosis of endometriosis, or have been living for a long time with endo and have hit a road with their conventional medicine options.
Is this a medical event or consultation?
This is an educational and supportive wellness retreat. Not a medical consultation or replacement for ongoing care. This doesn't include one to one consultation. While presenters will be available for questions it will not include individual diagnosis or treatment plans.
I am pregnant or trying to conceive, is it ok to attend?
Absolutely, it is ok to attend! We just want you to know that bathing is included in your ticket. However, bathing isn't recommended by the Peninsula Hot Springs in pregnancy...so you might want to skip this session.
What's involved in the acupuncture session?
The acupuncture session will be a very gentle introduction to acupuncture, using a low number of very fine pins. The pins will stay in place for 20 minutes while lying down and listening to a meditation. It's nourishing and incredibly relaxing!
I am transgender and was AFAB, is this still right for me?
Our work is grounded in respect for all bodies and identities. We support women, trans and gender-diverse people who were assigned female at birth, and we honour each person’s lived experience, language and needs.
What to bring?
Comfortable layers, loose, soft clothing (especially around the abdomen and pelvis), Warm jumper or shawl, Socks (including warm ones for relaxation sessions), Water Bottle, Bathers.
Will I be asked to share personal experiences?
No, sharing is always optional. Your welcome to listen, reflect privately, or engage at a level that feels safe for you. This is a low pressure non-confronting environment. There will be opportunities to build community and share your experience but whether you choose to participate is optional.
