The Mathematics Department is writing to advise that a payment of $51 is required to provide your child with full access to Instructive WA, the online learning platform used for Mathematics in Years 7, 8 and 9.Instructive WA replaces the need for a traditional printed textbook and is the primary resource used in Mathematics lessons.
Why we use Instructive WA
We have chosen this platform because it offers significant benefits for students and families, including:
• Reduced cost compared with purchasing a hard-copy textbook
• Explicit, step-by-step instruction that supports students at their individual point of need
• Personalised learning pathways, allowing students to progress at an appropriate pace
• Immediate feedback and targeted support when students experience difficulty
• Anywhere, anytime access at school or at home
• Fewer physical resources for students to carry in their school bags
Teachers continue to provide explicit whole-class instruction at the start of lessons, followed by guided and independent learning using the platform. Instructive WA allows teachers to closely monitor student progress and respond quickly when support is required.
