LNG Fundamentals Masterclass
About
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plays an important role in the global energy system, enabling the large-scale monetisation of gas resources, supporting energy security, and facilitating the transition to lower-carbon energy. This two-day LNG Fundamentals Masterclass provides a structured, end-to-end understanding of the LNG value chain, from upstream gas characteristics through liquefaction, shipping, trading, receiving terminals and final delivery to end-users.The course demystifies technical, operational and commercial foundations of LNG projects, explaining how physical infrastructure, safety considerations, and contractual structures interact to shape project economics and risk allocation. Participants will gain insight into how LNG projects are developed, operated and financed, how LNG is priced and traded across global markets, and how Sales & Purchase Agreements (SPAs) underpin long-term value.
Drawing on real-world project examples and market developments, the masterclass also examines FSRUs, spot vs long-term LNG markets, evolving pricing mechanisms, and future LNG supply–demand trends, including decarbonisation and geopolitical dynamics. The course is designed to build confidence, common language, and practical understanding for professionals working across technical, commercial, regulatory, and financial roles.
