Clinical conversations 2026
Event Name:
Clinical Conversations – Paediatric OT Mentoring Series
Event description
Clinical Conversations is a reflective practice series for paediatric occupational therapists who want space to think more deeply about their work with neurodivergent children.
This is not a lecture and it is not a traditional professional development workshop. It is a facilitated conversation space where Alyce Svensk and Claire Britton have real clinical conversations about the realities of bringing neuroaffirming approaches to life in paediatric practice.
Many therapists do not have consistent access to senior clinicians at work to talk through scope of practice, evolving approaches, or the grey areas between theory and real life. Clinical Conversations creates that space in a supportive and professionally grounded way.
How each session works
Each session begins with Alyce and Claire in conversation about a real and relevant aspect of neuroaffirming paediatric practice. This is an honest, practice-based discussion rather than a formal presentation.
Participants then move into small breakout groups to reflect, discuss, and process the ideas together, building their own clinical reasoning through shared perspectives.
There are no case presentations required. This space is designed so you can learn through listening, reflecting, and thinking alongside other paediatric OTs.
A recording of the opening conversation will be made available following the session.
Who this is for
This series is suited to paediatric OTs who
• Want to deepen their neuroaffirming lens in practice
• Value reflective discussion over quick fix strategies
• Are navigating complexity or uncertainty in their clinical work
• Do not have regular access to senior clinical reflection in their workplace
• Enjoy learning by hearing how others think and approach their work

Sessions run four-weekly on Wednesdays starting 18th February 2026
12:00–1:30pm AEDT/ 9:00–10:30am AWST
