He is on the ministry team at Wesley Uniting Church. His most recent book is on recovery and growth after spiritual trauma is soon to be published with ATF Press.

Dr Amy J. Erickson is Lecturer in Theology & Ethics at St Mark's National Theological Centre. She is co-author of the recently published Sabbath Gospel: A New Narrative About Time, Rest, and the Work of the Church (IVP, 2026).
11am ‘A Biblical-Theological Exploration of Evil’
Rt Rev Dr Stephen Pickard is an adjunct Professor of theology at Charles Sturt University. He is a retired Anglican Bishop and formerly executive director of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture.
1.30pm ‘Institutional and Societal Manifestations of Evil’
Rev Dr Ockert Meyer Lecturer in theology and preaching, United Theological College. He has recent publications in Stellenbosch Theological Journal and International Journal of Homiletics. He was previously Minister of the Word at Wesley Church.
3.30pm ‘Evil makes us human’: The remarkable unremarkableness of evil.
