The Austin Anaesthesia Department is excited to bring you a Gastric Ultrasound Workshop run by Dr Nav Sidhu from gastricus.org.This is a comprehensive 4-hour workshop on gastric point-of-care ultrasound for medical professionals, to assess risk of tracheal aspiration and guide airway management. It is suitable for practitioners working in anaesthesia, intensive care, and emergency medicine. Gastricus workshops conform to the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA)

During the workshop, participants will receive:
hands-on training by expert faculty with immediate feedback
experience in scanning a variety of gastric states
a formative DOPS assessment
formal image interpretation and reporting training
a comprehensive handbook as pre-workshop reading and for future reference.
