General Information
We will be going on a hike to the Colo River via Bob Turners Track, camping overnight for two nights. This is an easy hike in a beautiful location and a good introduction to lightweight overnight hiking. We will be travelling in leader's cars and may need some parent drivers pending numbers attending the hike.

Plan:
Friday Evening:
Venturers will walk from the trailhead, off the Putty Road, Colo Heights for approximately 3.5 km to the campsite at the Colo River under the supervision of Leaders.
Dinner should be something you can have 'on the road' or before you start walking - a sandwich, wrap, roll, etc.
Walking terrain is mostly a dirt trail with some rocky sections. The last part of the walk on the first night may be completed in the dark, so please bring a headlamp.
Saturday:
There will be pioneering activities, exploration and the opportunity to swim in the Colo River (slow flow).
Sunday:
We return via the same trail to the cars (approximately 1.5 hours) and then travel back to the hall.
Wet Weather:
Barring severe weather, this event will run in light rain. Bring a rain jacket.
In the event of heavy rain or storm or bushfire, the event will be cancelled. Cancellation will be advised by WhatsApp.
