Positive peer relationships are vital to student wellbeing and connection to school, hindered by conflict and bullying. This practical workshop provides restorative approaches to improve relationships using positive psychology, and strength-based principles, as well as effective interventions to resolve peer conflict & bullying incidents.The workshop includes:
• key prevention & intervention strategies
• resolving conflict & bullying incidents using restorative approaches including the (Pikas) Shared Concern
method
• current research on what does and does not work (incl. social media)
• student centred approaches (incl. bystanders responses)
• strategies, programs & plans for teachers, parents and students (multi-tiered approaches)
A comprehensive participant manual is provided.
