Cultural Orientation to the South West
About
Join SWAMS and UDRH SW for a Cultural Orientation to the South West.This orientation gives you a chance to learn about and reflect on the significance of this country to the Wardandi people and other Noongar groups in the South West. You will learn about Aboriginal culture and protocols related particularly to the South West from local Aboriginal cultural experts, and how these protocols can inform clinical practice.
The day will begin with an informative presentation about our local Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) and the Aboriginal model of health and wellbeing, followed by a sensory-rich cultural tour that will connect you deeply with Noongar land and culture.
Please join us a 8:30am at the UDRH SW Building at the ECU South West Campus.

The tour will finish at around 4pm.
Reservations for the Orientation will close on the Friday before the event.
Please note, this Orientation is only for students engaged with the UDRH SW program.
