We all know the importance of taking a comprehensive medical history, so why is cancer any different? This presentation will cover some of the key cancer therapies and how they might pose particular challenges with providing dental and endodontic treatment. A discussion about head and neck surgery and radiotherapy, chemotherapy and emerging new treatments such including immunotherapy, targeted agents and medications that have been implicated with osteonecrosis, will be covered. Some specific complications from each of these treatments along with case presentations to highlight the complexity of cancer, will also be presented.Date
