Join us for our awesome Friday Free Play Sessions!11am-2.30pm Term 2 on Fridays to hang out with our amazing rescue animals and play on the playgrounds! Bring a packed lunch and make an afternoon out of it! Just watch your food around the chickens and ducks haha!
$10/child, under 2 free and Adults free too!
As you will be entering at own risk and mostly own supervision while we run all ages workshops in the school shed at the same time please read the below rules carefully.
Please close the front gate behind you, drive down the driveway, turn left at the sheds and around the back to park diagonally along the tree line on the left or wait for assistance if those spaces are full. Please do not park out the front gate.
Please sign in when you arrive on the back table. Tea, coffee, biscuits, water available on the back patio.
Children must be supervised around the animals at all times, if entering animal pens children must be accompanied by an adult. Please do not allow them to lift the gate pins out and please make sure to close all pen gates as you enter and exit each pen. We have had some issues with pens being left open so please be vigilant. No picking up the animals without Leoni or a volunteers help please.
Do not stick your fingers in the bird and rat cages. Please be mindful of little ones around the duck water kiddy pools.
Please be mindful of snakes, no going behind avairies or into the long grass. Mozzie spray and sunscreen on the back table. We do have a bee hive near the duck pen so please be mindful and let us know if anyone is extremely allergic to bees
Portaloo near the ducks if you need the toilet.
No chasing any animals please, as they are rescue animals some have had a pretty hard start, especially the guinea pigs. Please don’t kids alone near the rooster Chickchoo or the Geese.
First aid kits available near the tea and coffee station, please let me know if you need first aid as I need to record. If there is an emergency you will hear a lot of whistles in a short amount of time, our meeting point will be at the front gate for a head count. If you can’t get to the front gate please meet down the back fence near the middle gate.
Feel free to bring snacks and a mat to eat on the grass. Please be mindful the chickens and ducks may come looking for a nibble too but no feeding the animals please!
Rude, aggressive, destructive behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave Little Duck Farm without a refund.
