MakerSpace: Safety Inductions
About
The safety induction is mandatory for anyone attending MakerSpace Access sessions at Gosford Regional Library (GRL). This includes participants using bookable equipment, accessing drop‑in tools, or working on handcraft and creative activities. The GRL MakerSpace in partnership with the University of Newcastle is a self‑led creative space. The safety induction ensures all participants understand how to work safely in the shared environment before accessing the space.// Requirements
To complete the safety induction, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Aged 16 years or older (photo ID required)
- Valid Library membership (free to join)
- Enclosed shoes worn at all times
Library membership can be done before or after the safety induction
