The Hunger Banquet is a powerful and interactive, student led experience facilitated by Year 9 students at Loreto Normanhurst in collaboration with Parramatta Mission. This event builds on the Term 1 Integrated Learning unit, Our Open Table, which explores the realities of food inequality and empowers students to take meaningful action toward positive change.

Parramatta Mission supports those most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our communities. Providing meals, showers, laundry and access to vital services such as housing and identification to break the cycle of poverty and transform lives with dignity and hope.

Parents of Year 9 students are warmly invited to participate and share the experience with their daughter, and we strongly encourage at least one parent to attend. All proceeds will be donated to Parramatta Mission to support their local programs, including meals and practical support.

Through the shared experience of a meal, the Hunger Banquet aims to foster compassion, deepen awareness, and inspire meaningful action in an educational and respectful setting.
