Coaches Collective 2026 - South West
South West Academy of Sport (SWAS) and South West Sport (SWS) are excited to announce the Coaches Collective 2026, a co-branded initiative that aims to strengthen the coaching network across South West Victoria. It will deliver regionally accessible professional development and high-performance insights from nationally recognised coaches and athletes.
Hosted at Warrnambool’s Deakin University campus, this 90-minute coach development event will feature a keynote presentation from one of Australia’s most decorated cycling coaches, Tim Decker, followed by a dynamic, multi-perspective panel discussion facilitated by MC Lachi Rooke.
The panel includes Rebekah Webster (VIS Director of High Performance), Tim Matthews (former Australian Paralympian and coach), and Mark Bridge (State League-winning hockey coach).
Together, this panel brings a wealth of experience across elite sport, coaching, and athlete development. They are eager to connect with the South West coaching community and explore topics including elite sporting environments, athlete wellbeing, and inclusive coaching practices.
Participants will walk away with practical tools to support their own development and enhance the coaching experience within their clubs.
SWAS and SWS are proud to collaborate on this rare in-person coach development opportunity, with coaches of all ages, sports, and experience levels encouraged to attend.
Please register via the " Book Now " button.
Catering: Tea, coffee, and light snacks provided
