Gosford Scottish Social Dancing: 5 Week Course for Beginners
About
Scottish Social Dancing is an activity where you'll be dancing in groups of six or eight people to lively Scottish music. The dances can be slow and elegant, or extremely lively! (See https://youtu.be/sbNQBgkk3SI for examples from around the world from the Centenary Celebrations of our parent body the RSCDS.)You don't need a partner, a kilt, or a Scottish accent...... and you certainly don't need any previous experience.
Everyone is welcome – whether you’re a complete beginner or just curious.
Course fee: $40
This fee covers attendance at all five sessions on the dates:-
– Wednesday 4 March
– Wednesday 11 March
– Wednesday 18 March
– Wednesday 25 March
– Wednesday 1 April
Classes run for 60 minutes.
Dancing starts promptly at 7pm
(Please arrive at 6.45pm on the first night)
Dress: If possible, please wear soft-soled shoes so that you can feel the floor comfortably beneath your feet. Dress in comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement – skirts, shorts, or loose trousers are ideal.
