The School invites all staff to a breakfast event in celebration of International Women’s Day,
featuring keynote speaker Dai Le MP.
About our Keynote Speaker
Dai Le is an independent Australian politician and the Federal Member for Fowler in New South Wales, first elected in 2022 and re‑elected in 2025. Born in Saigon in 1968, she fled Vietnam with her family in 1975, spending several years in refugee camps before resettling in Western Sydney in 1979. She is the first Vietnamese‑born woman to serve in the Australian House of Representatives.
Before entering federal politics, Ms Le worked as a journalist with the ABC and later served as Deputy Mayor of Fairfield City. She currently serves on the Joint Standing Committee on Migration and the Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme, as well as the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Employment, Workplace Relations, Skills and Training. A strong advocate for Western Sydney, Ms Le focuses on improving local infrastructure, strengthening healthcare services, addressing cost‑of‑living pressures, and supporting multicultural communities.
