In 1905 Thistle Anderson lobbed a grenade at conservative Adelaide society with her book ‘Arcadian Adelaide’. She condemned the smugness, hypocrisy and inferior wine among many evils rife in the ‘village’. But who was this fiercely outspoken woman? In this entertaining new play Maureen Sherlock dives into Thistle’s life and the uproar she created.The Marino Community Hall is right opposite the Marino Railway Station on the Seaford line. Trains every 15 minutes on weekdays every 30 minutes on weekends.
