ORCID: A Digital Fingerprint for Your Academic Identity
About
ORCID provides a persistent, unique identifier - essentially a digital fingerprint for your academic identity - that ensures your research outputs are accurately attributed to you throughout your career, regardless of changes in name, institution, or discipline. In the session you will learn what ORCID is, why it matters, and how to use it strategically to manage and showcase your scholarly profile. We will guide you through setting up or optimising your ORCID record, connecting it to publishers and funders, ensuring it is linked to the ECU Research System, and using it to streamline manuscript submissions, grant applications, and research reporting.
This session is delivered by Library Scholarly Communication team.
