Acting Improvisation Short Course + ShowcaseStep into the world of improvisation — where spontaneity, play, and connection take centre stage!
This four-week acting improv course is a fun, supportive, and confidence-building experience designed for performers, creatives, and anyone curious about thinking on their feet.
Through foundational improv games and exercises inspired by Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Saturday Night Live, and Thank God You’re Here, participants will learn the essential skills that make improvisation both hilarious and deeply empowering.
Each weekly three-hour workshop will guide the group through core principles such as Yes, And, listening, character creation, emotional commitment, ensemble trust, and building scenes in the moment. The course culminates in a relaxed evening improvisation performance, where participants will showcase their new skills in a joyful, audience-led short-form improv show.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the four weeks, participants will:
Build confidence and comfort performing without a script
- Develop stronger listening, presence, and emotional responsiveness
- Learn the foundational rules and games of improvisation
- Create bold characters and make strong spontaneous choices
- Strengthen acting instincts, creativity, and comedic timing
- Experience the power of ensemble collaboration and play
- Perform in a live improv showcase in a fun, low-pressure environment
Facilitated by Kirstyn Niccolle.
Kirstyn is a professional performance artist, creative producer, director, musician & facilitator with experience in theatre, film, tv, cabaret, live music, musicals, festivals, embodiment & vocal coaching, performance coaching, theatre and filmmaking.
She has 17 years professional experience working and training across Australia, the UK and Europe.

12 person group maximum.
$500 for the full course including ticketed performance.
$100 non refundable deposit to secure spot by Feb 25th, payment made in full by March 3rd.
