This Learning Alliance Meeting for Mentors explores the vital role mentors play in supporting early career teachers. The session will focus on effective mentoring strategies that support the development of strong, trusting relationships, encouraging mentors to consider the evolution of their mentoring approach across the year. A strong emphasis will be placed on wellbeing and improving teacher practice, and how these priorities can be embedded within structured mentoring meetings.The session introduces the key elements and frameworks that underpin the Career Start program and examines the partnership between mentors, early career teachers, and Learning Alliance Leaders. Throughout, there will be opportunities to share ideas, discuss mentoring approaches, and build a shared understanding of effective mentoring practice alongside other mentors. You will also leave with practical tools and resources ready to use in your next mentoring conversation.
