Leading with Vision A conversation with Fr Friedrich Bechina
About
This session offers a unique opportunity for leaders of MACS to engage in a dynamic and future-focused conversation with Fr Friedrich Bechina, an internationally respected voice in Catholic education and formation.Drawing from his extensive global experience in leadership, tertiary education, and the Church’s mission in diverse cultural settings, Fr Bechina will invite us to consider how Catholic education today must form leaders who are spiritually grounded, relationally attuned, and professionally excellent.
The session supports the launch of Vision for Leadership as MACS “walks together” with leaders at all levels. It will explore:
• The integration of mission, leadership and professional practice
• Global perspectives on leadership that can inform our local context
• What it means to lead Catholic communities with hope, clarity, and accompaniment
• The role of leaders in shaping a culture where faith, learning, and human flourishing are inseparable
Through dialogue with Fr Bechina, participants will deepen their understanding of MACS’ emerging leadership vision and consider implications for their leadership of Catholic schools.
