This 30-minute workshop explores the joyful fusion of dance rooted in my Latin American heritage and my love of Middle Eastern dance. Together, we’ll blend two styles deeply connected to rhythm, storytelling, and community.
We’ll begin with merengue-inspired stepping to build confidence and connection to the beat, then layer in Middle Eastern hip movements such as lifts, circles, and shimmies. Drawing on shared elements of grounded footwork and expressive hips, we’ll weave the styles together and celebrate movement, music, and culture. No experience required—just curiosity and a love of music.
