Welcome friends, as we commence a new series of author focused, bookshop driven events. We are bringing your favourite authors to discuss your favourite books, and hold conversations that matter. We are kicking off with none other than Kate Mildenhall!The Hiding Place is Kate's latest contribution to the literary landscape and a thrilling piece of fiction at that. Kate will join Chantelle Doulis for a conversation about her new novel, her previous works, and the whole messy, fun and challenging process of bringing a book into the world.
In what we hope to be the first of many more events in this series, we are delighted to be able to share our first event with Kate.
About Kate:
Kate Mildenhall is an acclaimed author, writing teacher and podcaster. Her novels have been widely recognised, with Skylarking, The Mother Fault and The Hummingbird Effect all receiving major award longlistings and shortlistings, including the ABIA, Stella Prize and Indie Book Awards. In 2024, she released her first picture book, To Stir with Love, illustrated by Jess Racklyeft, which has also been highly commended. Kate is also the former co-host of The First Time Podcast, where she interviewed over 200 writers from around the world.
