Communication Guide Training Program
About
Paola Murray, founder of iPaola, invites you to take part in this Deafblind-led Communication Guide training program. This training is designed for current and aspiring Communication Guides, support workers and people wanting to work with Deafblind people who want to build strong, safe, respectful and practical skills when working with Deafblind people. The program is led by a Deafblind professional with lived experience, offering real insight into what quality support truly looks like.
The training includes one essential session: theory and practical components. Together, these sessions help participants develop confidence, safety awareness and real-world experience that can be applied directly in everyday support roles.
The training also focuses on how to empower and advocate alongside Deafblind people, rather than taking over and how to create environments that are inclusive, accessible and supportive.
This program can also open the door to new client opportunities and potential career pathways in Deafblind support. The cost of the training includes exclusive Deafblind-led instruction and ongoing access to the facilitator for guidance and support when needed, helping you continue learning and growing beyond the sessions.
This is a valuable opportunity to learn directly from lived experience, deepen your understanding and strengthen your ability to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
