Year 9 Career Taster Program – 2026 Sessions

The Year 9 Career Taster Program (CTP) provides students with the opportunity to explore different industries through short, hands‑on taster sessions delivered by local TAFEs and training providers. The program is designed to spark curiosity, broaden awareness of future career pathways, and support students in making informed subject choices for Years 10–12. Throughout the year, students will have access to a range of one‑day experiences, each showcasing real‑world skills, workplaces, and industry professionals. These sessions aim to help students discover their interests, build confidence, and connect classroom learning to practical career opportunities.

- Bookings open at 5:00 pm on 6 February 2026.
- Sessions are first‑come, first‑served. Spots are limited, so please book as soon as bookings open.
- Students may book one place per session.
- Sessions will auto‑close when full.
- If a session is full, email rebecca.davidse@education.wa.edu.au to request a waitlist spot.
- Students must read all session descriptions before booking. Some require students to arrange their own transport.
- Students must ensure bookings do not clash with assessments or school commitments. CTP does not excuse missed work.
- If you can no longer attend a booked session, you must notify Rebecca Davis as soon as possible so the spot can be offered to someone else.
- Students are strongly encouraged to book for themselves so they understand what they are attending.
- A Compass consent event will be sent to parents for each session; attendance requires parent approval.
- Students who repeatedly book and do not attend will be placed on a “no‑show” list and may be prevented from joining future sessions.
