Sister's In Arms
About
International Women’s Day FundraiserA night in, to help women rise.
Why This Matters
Women who have had the courage to leave a domestic violence relationship have already survived unimaginable challenges. While leaving takes strength, healing requires ongoing support and this is where many women are left behind.
Unfortunately, there is limited to no funding for long-term domestic violence recovery programs. Emergency support is essential, but without continued care, women and children are often left without the tools needed to truly rebuild their lives.
Who This Supports
Organisations such as Hunter Women's Centre, Women's Housing Org and many others provide vital ongoing support to women and children who have escaped violence. These services rely heavily on fundraising to continue their work.
Soul Expression with Kylie partners with these centres to deliver trauma-informed healing programs, supporting women beyond survival and into long-term wellbeing.
What Your Support Provides
Funds raised through Sister's In Arms: A Girls Night In help place women into a 6-week or longer healing program, supporting them to:
Reset and regulate their nervous systems
Learn what safe, healthy relationships feel like
Set and hold boundaries
Create daily habits that support emotional wellbeing
Make empowered choices for themselves and their children
Move beyond trauma, not just cope with it
Without funding, women miss out on the support needed to create a future that is safe, free, relaxed, and bright.
The Reality
Police receive a domestic violence call every two minutes
Women continue to lose their lives at the hands of a partner, already 8 lost lives in January
This is real, it is happening now, and it is preventable
Women who are supported to leave violence and heal are breaking cycles, not just for themselves, but for the next generation.
