About

The Year 11 River Cruise is being held on Wednesday 25 March.

The Crystal Swan scenic vessel will depart from Barrack Square, travel west under the Narrows bridge past the Old Swan Brewery and into Matilda Bay. Going past the University of Western Australia and the Royal Perth Yacht Club towards the Raffles Hotel at Canning Bridge, the captain will then steer down river before it is time to turn around and return to Perth. Following the same route returning to the city, students will enjoy the views of Kings Park, the city skyline and river foreshore.

The dress code for the evening is semi-formal. This means modest cocktail dresses (knee length or longer) for female students and collared shirt and long trousers for male students. The vessel includes a dance floor, DJ and fully enclosed upper and lower decks. Students will be provided with finger food, desserts and soft drink throughout the evening.

Please note that students must make their own way to and from the venue. Students are required to be Jetty 5 on Barrack Square at 6:00pm to ensure they do not miss the cruise departure. Students will disembark the vessel at 9.30pm and are to be picked up by a parent or guardian, no later than 9.45pm. If someone else will be collecting your child, please inform Miss Dudek in advance.

Please also note that on Wednesday 25 March, all students are required to attend school for the full day, as per a normal school day. If your child is unable to attend at any point during the day, please contact me directly as soon as possible. In line with our usual procedures, ensure the School Absences email is included absences@pcacs.wa.edu.au.
