Learn To Love Your Voice Workshop
About
Belle Miners will be returning to the beautiful community of Frematle to present their two-hour workshop 'Learn to LOVE Your Voice!' at Ecoburbia featuring the bands most widely acclaimed skills:Singing, Harmonizing & Songwriting!
The session begins with a voice lesson from vocal coach Felicia Harding. A thoughtful and engaging teacher, Felicia uses her years of fronting bands of all genres and serious vocal study and coaching (SingIT Studio, Victoria, BC) to bring you a warm-up that will get those chords feeling ready for just about anything! She will explain the "mechanics of the voice" and delve into how to protect and develop your vocal instrument.
Following your vocal warm up we will dive into the wonderful world of vocal harmonies. Belle Miners’ are a harmony-rich band and
Jaime Jackett (hailing from Broome, WA, where she has lead many choirs and vocal ensembles) will break down the basics, piece by piece in a fun and easy to understand manner. You will walk away with some tools in your belt to start working on your own harmonies.
Finally, we will turn to the art of songwriting.
For 14 seasons Marina Avros worked in isolation at a fire lookout deep in the wilderness of Northern Alberta. During this time she had the opportunity to spend thousands of hours honing in on the craft of songwriting. Through the concept of kinaesthetic learning Marina will nurture the group and lean on the skills of her bandmates to guide everyone towards the creation of a song.
Bonus guest (and band drummer/producer/engineer) Daine Harding will also provide incites in this workshop garnered from his years over touring.
The workshop will cover the following:
