Join Landcare Australia in celebrating Landcare Week 2026 by participating in a multi-team corporate volunteering event. Support our passionate volunteers and connect with other corporate groups to make a direct impact on Landcare around the country!
Landcare Week acknowledges the Australians who are actively restoring, enhancing and protecting the natural environment in their community. Landcare Week enables you to get your hands dirty to care for the land and waterways our landcarers love so much. It’s a great way to learn more about the environment, community and wellbeing benefits of participating in landcare.
About the event & activities
You will be supporting the efforts of landcare groups and volunteers to enhance the local environment of the Pledger
Wetlands, part of a network of biodiversity corridors in the City of Salisbury, with a vision to develop an iconic nature trail for walking, jogging and cycling which showcases native flora and fauna.
Activities are likely to include planting native seedlings, spreading mulch and removing invasive weeds.
No experience necessary!
Experienced Landcare members will provide a safety briefing and toolbox talk and support you throughout the day with each task. Event support members will provide information on best-practice planting methods, weed identification, plus share their local environmental knowledge.
This activity requires a moderate to high level of physical activity, however please contact us if you have any concerns as we can often modify things to ensure all your team can participate.
What is included:

gloves, tools and equipment required for the day
Bring a refillable water bottle, wear suitable clothing (inc. sturdy, enclosed shoes, long sleeved shirt and pants) and a hat. It’s recommended you pack wet weather gear as events will go ahead in most weather conditions.
