Wild Dreaming Home Schooling Village (CANCELLED)
About
Wild Dreaming Home‑School Village is a community rooted space children and families gather to explore, create, and grow in deep relationship with the natural world. Here, learning unfolds slowly and organically — through bush play, hands‑on making, seasonal rhythms, storytelling, and the everyday magic of being outdoors.Parents and caregivers are part of the village, weaving a circle of support, curiosity, and shared wisdom. Together, we nurture a way of learning that honours the land, strengthens community bonds, and invites each child to grow in their own wild, authentic way. This is a place where education feels alive — rooted in Country, guided by imagination, and nourished by the simple act of learning together.
The program nurtures and creates a space where curiosity, creativity, resilience, and a deep sense of belonging can flourish — reminding us that learning grows naturally when we gather, explore, and care for Country together.
Each gathering is shaped by the seasons — slow mornings under the trees, barefoot wandering along the sand, storytelling circles, nature art and bushcraft, nature play and games, colouring and optional quiet space and shared lunch that bring the village together.
Children learn through direct experience: climbing, crafting, observing, tending, listening. Adults/Parents are welcomed too, not as supervisors but as part of the learning ecosystem, rediscovering their own sense of wonder alongside the young ones. This is not a drop off program.
At its heart, the program strengthens the threads that hold a community together. It nurtures resilience, cooperation, and care for Country. It reminds us that learning doesn’t happen only in classrooms — it happens in the forest, by the fire, in the garden, and in the relationships we build with each other.
The intention is that for this day it is more than an activity. It’s a way of remembering how to live well, connected, and fully alive together.
