Speaker Bio:
Although formally retired, Geoff Treloar remains research active as Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the Australian University of Theology and Visiting Fellow in History in the School of Humanities and Languages at the University of New South Wales. He was formerly the Dean at Robert Menzies College, Macquarie University (1992-2003), Head of Basser College at the University of New South Wales (2003-2010) and Director of Teaching and Learning at the Australian College (now University) of Theology (2011-2020). He is the author of Lightfoot the Historian (Mohr-Siebeck, 1998) and The Disruption of Evangelicalism: The Age of Torrey, Mott, McPherson and Hammond (IVP/SPCK, 2016). He is a foundation member of the Evangelical History Association of Australia and was Editor of its journal, Lucas: An Evangelical History Review, for thirty years from 1992 to 2022. His current research is on the history of theological education and the biographies of several contemporary Australian theologians.
