The First Spiritual Exercises – Inner Peace in Divine Love
The First Spiritual Exercises are a set of Prayer Exercises with a particular dynamic, created by St Ignatius. They are a simple process and yet a powerful experience of grace built around personal prayer and a Guided Spiritual Conversation in a small group.
There is nothing in these exercises either of content or process that you cannot do. There is no need for any special education, holiness, being churched, or even being in perfect health. In Ignatian’s ‘Exercising’, we learn how to apply the Exercises to our understanding of faith or well-being, and then to our present reality.
This FSE retreat is about love in relationships and cultivating a living relationship between you and God. It is easy to forget that you have a great gift in the joyful memories of being loved in your life. Over the course of the weekend, you will be guided through a number of spiritual exercises to help you experience that inner peace in divine love.
