Pack a picnic, grab your folding chair and join us under the stars for the 2026 edition of Shakespeare On The Green.Flinders Dramatic Arts students will present a fast-paced and hilarious production of Shakespeare's timeless comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream over three open-air evening shows from 28 - 30 May at Matthew Flinders Anglican College.
This 90 minute version of Shakespeare's rom com where "the course of true love never did run smooth" is set in present-day New York City and through the talents of our Technical Department, Flinders' award-winning outdoor space, The Green, will be transformed into Central Park.
The production will also feature a soundtrack of hits by the great Billy Joel - someone who wrote beautiful songs about both Love and New York!
Picnic: This is a picnic-style event, so there is UNRESERVED seating.
Please bring your own picnic blanket or folded chair, and food and drinks (NO glass permitted).
Please note: In the case of wet weather, the show will be presented as a picnic event in an indoor theatre venue on campus.
