Written by Ruth Park and adapted for the stage by Kate Mulvany The Harp in the South follows the trials and tribulations of the Darcy family over thirty years, from country New South Wales in the 1920s to the inner-city slums of Surry Hills in the 1950s. Directed by industry professional Lizzie Schebesta, the talented Year 12 play cast bring to the stage a carousel of characters and take us on a journey with the Darcy family through laughter and tragedy, blood and tears, poverty and cruelty, but most of all love and enduring hope.
