Temora Hospital Redevelopment - Public art workshop
About
Artists Sophie Chauncy and Stewart James invite local community members to take part in a creative workshop that will help shape a new public artwork for the Temora Hospital Redevelopment.About the event:
This relaxed, hands-on workshop brings together storytelling and artmaking, exploring landscape, connection to Country, and local place. Guided by Sophie, participants will work with mixed media on paper, learning her creative process while experimenting with mark making, layering, and a minimal, earthy palette. The session will explore native flora and fauna, waterways, and local landscapes through hands-on making using mixed media and found natural materials.
Throughout the workshop, Stewart will share local stories and cultural knowledge, offering an environmental and cultural context that connects the artmaking back to Country and place.
