International Women's Day 2026 at Mornington Yacht Club
Join us at Mornington Yacht Club for a special International Women’s Day evening, bringing together stories of sailing, leadership, industry, and community.
Hear from an inspiring panel of MYC and ORCV women whose experiences span club volunteering, offshore sailing, pearling, marine science, and leadership — each with a unique journey shaped by the sea.
Speakers include:
Jo McKenzie – MYC member of 20+ years, long-time club, state and national committee contributor, and passionate sailing volunteer.
Serena Sanders – Marine biologist, commercial pearl diver, double-handed offshore sailor, and revamped Queensland’s pearl industry.
Lee Renfree – First female Commodore at the Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club in 60 years and founder of the KISS Women’s Sailing Program, empowering women to take the helm with confidence
The discussion will be moderated by MYC Youth Captain, Rose Carlson.
Whether you’re a sailor, supporter, volunteer, or simply curious, this is an evening about connection, shared experience, and celebrating women in sailing and the marine industry.
MYC Members and Non-Members: $20
Includes steak/vegetarian dinner to be booked in advance
Optional additional $5 for drinks/choc tops
