The final major community event ever to be held at the Tivoli Drive-In Theatre. Presented by Goodness Enterprises and Radioactive Pictures, TAKEOVER: After Dark is a one-night cultural festival bringing together car enthusiasts, food lovers, families and the wider Ipswich community, all while raising funds for charity.
What’s happening on the night
Date: Friday, 27th Feb, 2026.
Location: Tivoli Drive In Theatre - 50 Coal Rd, Chuwar QLD 4306.
Gates Open: 4:30 PM
Live DJs: From 4:30 PM
Special International Guest Q&A: 6:00 PM
Drive-In Screening: After sunset
A special international guest will be making an appearance on the night, with the official announcement dropping February 21.
🚗 Car Meet Takeover
A curated lineup of supercars and modified builds filling the drive-in grounds. Walk the site, meet fellow enthusiasts and experience the atmosphere.
🍔 Food Trucks & Market Stalls
A hand-picked selection of food vendors and local traders serving from gates open. Come early, grab dinner and soak up the energy.
🎶 Live Entertainment
A DJ setting the tone from 4:30pm, followed by a live Q&A with our special international guest before the screening.
🎬 Exclusive Drive-In Screening (MA15+)
The night wraps with a drive-in screening of Takeover, a high-stakes diamond heist set in Atlanta’s underground street-racing scene, starring Quavo (Migos) and Billy Zane.
(Children under 15 can attend but must be accompanied by an adult)
Supporting Local Community
Funds raised from the event will go toward the work of Goodness Enterprises, a local not-for-profit dedicated to supporting vulnerable families and strengthening community wellbeing across Ipswich and surrounding regions. Through practical assistance programs, community events, and environmental initiatives that protect local wildlife, Goodness Enterprises works to create lasting, positive change where it is needed most.
🎟 Ticketing Information
Guests can attend in one of three ways:
🚗 Drive-In Car Pass
Includes entry for one vehicle + one person.
Additional Entry tickets must be purchased for any extra passengers travelling in the same vehicle.
🌟 VIP Drive-In Experience
Includes entry for one vehicle (up to 5 guests) with a premium front-row parking position.
Also includes:
• A sandwich & cheese platter
• 5 soft drinks
Perfect for groups wanting the best view and a little extra comfort on the night.
🧺 Picnic Lawn Entry
Individual tickets for guests attending on foot.
Please BYO picnic rug or low chair (seating is not provided).
Age & Entry Conditions

This is an all-ages community event.
Children under 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
🚗 Car Entry Requirements

All vehicles must hold a valid Drive-In or VIP Car Pass.

All passengers must have a valid ticket.

Vehicles must follow marshal directions on entry and parking.

No dangerous driving, revving, burnouts or anti-social behaviour will be tolerated.

Event security reserves the right to inspect vehicles and bags upon entry.
Anyone found breaching entry conditions may be refused entry or removed from the event.
