AICCM's Conservation Framing SIG invites you to join John Payne as he leads a short lecture and discussion of significant artworks and frames within the NGV’s collection.John Payne is a long-serving paintings conservator at the NGV (since 1982), with conservation training in Canberra and at the Institut Royale du Patrimoine Artistique in Brussels. He is known for deep specialist work on picture frames alongside paintings. He authored Framing the Nineteenth Century a reference that continues to contribute significantly to our understanding of Australian Frame Makers.
Attendees are asked to rendez-vous in the NGV International foyer at 5:50pm.
