As we prepare to open Concordia, our new Resource Centre and Library, we invite every family to be part of something enduring — A Lasting Chapter in the story of GLC.

This sponsorship initiative celebrates the people and stories that make our community what it is. Families are invited to purchase a tile designed as a book spine, which will form a feature mural at the entrance of Concordia. Each “spine” will carry words chosen by you — a family name, a favourite book title, a meaningful phrase, or a value you hold dear.

Together, these individual chapters will create a powerful visual story: many voices, one community. Each tile represents a moment in time, yet collectively they form a lasting legacy — a reminder that GLC is built not only with bricks and mortar, but with faith, learning, and the families who journey together here.

A Lasting Chapter is more than a sponsorship. It is an opportunity to be written into the ongoing story of GLC — a chapter that future students will pass every day as they enter a place of knowledge, curiosity, and growth.

HOW DO WE GET INVOLVED?
We ask families and interested community members to choose a font, and the words they wish to include and pay the sponsorship amount.
Over the coming months selected GLC Product Design students with the assistance staff will create the wooden book spines from a variety of woods using the College CNC machine to engrave the names in the wood spines.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to be involved in a hands on legacy project that the community will enjoy for many years to come.

1. Choose a font

2. Choose what you want the spine to say. (Maximum 40 characters)
Some examples are:
- The Smiths
- The Smith Family
- John, Mary, David, Sarah Smith
- Romans 14:7 - The Smith Family
- Wind in the Willows - Smith Family
- The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe
- Be strong and Courageous Joshua 1:9

What you say must be a maximum of 40 characters (can be much less). Characters include spaces and dashes, apostrophes etc.
This will be your legacy.

3. Make the payment with all your details.
Purchase of one book spine = $300
All payments over $2 are tax deductible.

4. Information about the unveiling and opening of Concordia will be forwarded at a later date. We hope you can attend.

Due to the production timeline and estimated opening of Concordia, this sponsorship drive will be open from Friday 13 February 2026 closing on Sunday 15 March 2026.
