Landcare Week Volunteering, Sydney
Join us for Landcare Week 2026!
Landcare Australia is inviting you to participate in a multi-team event to celebrate Landcare Week 2026, joining volunteers from other corporate groups to make a massive impact on Landcare activities around the country!
About the event & activities
You will be supporting ongoing Landcare activities to enhance native bushland at Tunks Park in Cammeray. Tunks Park is one of the most significant open space areas fronting Middle Harbour with large areas of natural bushland rich in biodiversity, however due to its proximity to residential areas and playing fields, it requires ongoing weed management to ensure native vegetation is not overtaken by invasive weeds.
For this event you will be working alongside a Bushlink team to remove invasive weeds and litter clean up, there may also be the opportunity to plant some native grasses. Bushlink employs people with disabilities to undertake environmental work around norhtern Sydney, providing them with supported employment opportunities that combines nature, teamwork, and purpose. The Bushlink teams are wonderful corporate volunteering hosts, and these events help them to feel empowered by teaching you their bushcare skills.
No experience necessary!
Experienced Landcare members will provide a safety briefing and toolbox talk and support you throughout the day with each task. Event support members will provide information on best-practice planting methods, weed identification, plus share their local environmental knowledge.
This activity requires a moderate to high level of physical activity, however please contact us if you have any concerns as we can often modify things to ensure all your team can participate.
